To improve its accessibility, SC seeks input from disability sector

In a remarkable move, the Supreme Court of India last week invited persons with disabilities and other stakeholders to answer an online questionnaire about the level of accessibility in the Court premises, website, documents and case proceedings. The Court has also solicited input on how to ensure comprehensive and holistic end-to-end accessibility. This represents a timely opportunity for the disability sector, not only to have a say in removing barriers to access in the Supreme Court, but also to influence adoption of accessibility measures in courts throughout the country.
